More Skyrim prompt exchange art! Adrastos is in a particular pinch here because he’d much prefer to let creatures of the wild roam around and do their own thing and doesn’t really like hurting them— in fact, he does his best to stay out of their way because of it. This sabrecat doesn’t seem to appreciate his effort, though!

Also, a couple things about this:

1) I realize I broke canon a bit with this, since I’m pretty darn sure Shilo doesn’t actually learn about repossession/Repo Men until the movie. I just wanted an excuse to play off of Nathan’s conflicting natures, reflecting on the small stable part of him that still clings on after Marni’s death; the part of him that still feels guilt over what he’s been roped into, and just wants to be the best father he can, but is constantly plagued by the fear and horror his darker side instills in people.

2) This comic helped me figure out that I still have a lot of issues drawing certain things, particularly character likeness. I think the only panel where I actually got Nathan to look like Nathan is the last one. I’ll certainly be working more on my people-drawing skills in the future.

First pass at a skull study for my original race, the Genos.

This was actually pretty difficult to do… contains elements of snake, crocodile, and eel while keeping in mind the overall shape of the face that I want for them. Long and narrow, pointed snouts, while still giving their jaws a sense of power. I’ll definitely want to take another pass at this, but it will suit my purposes for now.

With this I’m going to be scooting all my old NV art and files into a folder, mark it outdated, and start seriously revising the race and the worlds they keep. I hope to do some serious work on them this summer.
